Corina Norman

Corina belongs to the Dharug and Dharawal language groups and comes from multiple clans across Sydney. She also holds whakapapa to Te ati ahau nui a paparangi te iwi, walking in relationship with both Aboriginal and Aotearoa First Nations knowledge. Corina is an educator, language advocate, and cultural governance leader with more than 25 years of experience across education, community development, and creative practice. She is a co-founder of Bayala Aboriginal Corporation and Yanama Budyari Gumada (YBG), both dedicated to healing and intergenerational learning through language, culture, and Country. Corina teaches Dharug dhalang from early learning to tertiary levels and is a predoctoral Dharug researcher completing her PhD on Ngurra Guardianship at Western Sydney University. She also holds a Master of Indigenous Languages Education, a Bachelor of Education, and is a graduate of Tranby’s Certificate IV in Business Governance. Corina’s work is grounded in Indigenous knowledge frameworks, and cultural integrity.
